The product
Our premium, high-quality cider is produced using the freshest and juiciest Cox apples, grown in the orchards on the Waitrose & Partners farm.
Around 30 tonnes of Cox apples are pressed every year, producing almost 60,000 bottles of cider. You can buy it at our farm shop and in many Waitrose & Partners stores.
The process
In autumn, we handpick our freshest, juiciest Cox apples for eating, baking, and turning into tasty cider.
These apples are then pressed and processed by our friends at Aspall Cyder. Only water and yeast are added before their natural fermentation.
This gives each vintage its own unique taste, though every drink is just as delicious.
Ethics & sustainability
Working to enhance the natural habitat of our orchards, we mow and cut back very little from the ground around the base of the trees.
This allows wildflower plants to flourish, attracting beneficial insects and enhancing biodiversity and ecosystems. But don’t worry – we carefully monitor the arrival of any pests, too, targeting and treating the crop only when needed.
Less mowing also means less vehicle usage, which in turn means we use less fuel.
Uses & benefits
Enjoy our cider on its own, serve with a light lunch, or offer it at your next occasion. We’re sure you, your family, and your friends will love its crisp and refreshing flavour.
