Cox Cider

Our light sparkling cider is made from Cox apples grown on the Estate, hand-picked in late autumn when the apples are at their sweetest. These apples produce a fine quality medium dry cider that is available to purchase from our Farm Shop and selected Waitrose stores… and is best served chilled!

Nearly 50 tonnes of Leckford’s hand-picked Cox apples were pulped and pressed in December 2015 by Westons using one of their five Bucher presses. The juice was then fermented using water and yeast over a five week period before bottling for cox cider. The fermentation process is entirely natural so will vary in length from year to year. This can lend a distinctive character to the different ‘vintages’ of Leckford Cox Cider as no two fermentations are the same.
