Discover fishing at Leckford

The River Test is regarded as the birthplace of modern fly fishing and is a well respected fly fishing destination. Couple this with being by the water, in a stunning countryside location, and we think we can offer a perfect antidote to what can often be a stressful and fast moving pace of life.

The famous River Test travels through almost one thousand acres of water meadows. These provide a sanctuary for a diverse range of plant and animal life, which thrive in their unique chalk-stream habitat, as well as a fantastic spot for fishing.

Meanwhile, our two lakes – Testside Lakes, formerly the home of Spedan Lewis’s ornamental wildfowl collection, and Longstock Park Lake, created from an ancient peat-digging site – offer a secluded spot for fly-fishing brown and rainbow trout.

Book a day on the river for up to two people with two rods, or a group day out on one of our lakes with loved ones, and share in the wonder of this hidden gem.

If you’re tempted, then book a day or two with us and see for yourself.
