What To Expect

Longstock Park sits in the beautiful Test Valley, Hampshire and forms part of The Leckford Estate.

Visitors booked onto one of our winter walks will be able to explore Longstock Park by taking the leisurely walk through the beautiful arboretum to the water gardens, where you will have time to enjoy a magical place, that was once the private garden of the founder of the John Lewis Partnership.  After soaking up the wintry surroundings you can return back through the park to the cafe and farm shop.  Once back at the cafe, just show your proof of ticket purchase, and for each paying adult or child you will receive a complimentary hot drink.

Walk Information

  • The winter walk starts and ends at Longstock Park Farm Shop car park. The route follows grassy paths downhill through the arboretum to a gate opposite the Water Garden entrance on Longstock Road (pedestrian access only). The terrain is rough, grassy, likely wet and some steep areas may be slippery, so appropriate footwear and walking poles are advised. The walk is approximately ¾ mile one way, returning via the same uphill path. The Water Garden is signposted; other private areas are marked along the route.
  •  At the Water Garden, the gravel paths are wide and flat, but can be bumpy for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Wheelchair access is available to most areas, but please be aware of the irregular path surface. Some islands can only be reached over a narrow bridge. There are benches, a small summer house with garden history information and limited shelter in wet weather. Please take care on all bridges, as they can be slippery in wet weather.

Full details about the walk can be found on the booking site, please follow the link.

Come and embrace the tranquility of Longstock Park and book your walk today.
