A hidden gem in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Discover all that the Leckford Estate has to offer and make memories you’ll cherish forever.
It is important to us that we rise up to the challenge of tackling our impact on the environment.
We are driving change through our farming techniques, responsible sourcing of products, wasting less and our target of becoming carbon net zero.
Leckford Estate is a diverse commercial business, spanning property, food production and farming, retail and leisure activities.
Leckford provides a fun day out for the whole family, with shops, a nursery, cafés, a water garden, and fishing and golfing facilities.
Leckford Estate was purchased as a private estate by John Spedan Lewis in 1929; a visionary retailer with extensive knowledge of botany, entomology and aquatic life.
Spedan invested into the estate heavily during his lifetime, particularly in housing, farming mechanisation, partner welfare and the environment.
Supplying Waitrose & Partners supermarkets and our own farm shop with Leckford produce, farming has been at the heart of the Estate since 1929.
We have been farming the 2,800-acre estate for over 90 years and are proud to be the Waitrose & Partners Farm. We are the only UK retailer owned farm producing fresh local produce.
An environmental Trust, set up with a clear purpose to promote the natural sciences through education and study.
Continuing the work of the Partnership’s founder John Spedan Lewis, here on the Leckford estate and beyond.
