The Waitrose Farm Shop – Local produce in Hampshire.

Located in the Test Valley in Hampshire, The Waitrose & Partners Farm Shop, Leckford Cafe & Plant Nursery in Longstock is not only a stunning destination to visit, with its walled nursery garden, al-fresco dining and cafe in the park, it’s also a place full of passion and commitment. A passion to provide its customers with great service, high-quality produce and a commitment to sustainability through its farming practices and its relationships.

It has never been more important than in these recent times, that we work together with our local and surrounding communities. As well as supporting its customers, this farm shop in Hampshire is passionate about working with local suppliers, local producers and new and emerging businesses.

The Waitrose & Partners Farm is a local food producer itself, supplying the farm shop with a delicious array of items, including mushrooms, rapeseed oil, flour, apple juice, Cox Cider and English sparkling wine, all grown or produced within just a few miles of the Farm Shop. Explore our Waitrose produce.

In addition to its own farm, Partners at the Waitrose Farm Shop continue to look for, and work with, many suppliers local to Hampshire and the surrounding county that share the same values as the retailer. Being part of the John Lewis Partnership means continuing to grow in accordance with the same ethos set up by the founder, John Spedan Lewis. John Spedan Lewis was a forward-thinker who valued the effort of his workers and took a keen interest in the environment and his surroundings.

Supplier Liaison Becky McEvoy says, “We work with as many local suppliers as we can, as well as regional and national start-ups. We also support local artists in our shop gallery. You’ll find a selection of guest artist’s work on offer, such as Barbara James and Sue Hyslop, who are based in Hampshire.”

Stockbridge Pottery are a recent collaboration, who manufacture a distinctive pitcher with a ‘spotty’ pattern, taking colour and style inspiration from their local surroundings in and around Stockbridge, Hampshire.

With sustainability being a key area of focus, the Leckford Farm Shop is eager to team up with more brands like Urban Cordial. This producer doesn’t want to see ‘wonky’ fruit go to waste so repurposes it into cordials. The team thinks it’s a great way to use up any fruit that would otherwise go in the bin!

One of the Farm Shop’s most popular products is a cheese soufflé produced by Red Fox Fine Food Broughton. Customers can buy the tasty dish in the Farm Shop to cook at home or choose it from the seasonal menu at the Farm Shop Cafe. Partners love the bakes and cakes from Bramley Village Bakery and Crosbies. Fresh bread, delicious tray bakes and loaf cakes for special occasions (or any occasion!).

For that homemade taste, Austwicks, who are based just down the road in Clatford, produce a wonderful quiche, great for a picnic lunch or light snack. Austwicks products can be found in the chiller at the Leckford Farm Shop.

English wines and locally crafted beers and spirits have proved popular over the past few years and the Farm Shop works with lots of local producers to bring you a tipple for any occasion.
