Our Design Service - From Concept to Creation
We believe that the best gardens are created from collaboration. Our design process is tailored to offer customer involvement and satisfaction.
1. Initial Consultation: It all starts with a visit to your garden. We'll meet with you on-site to discuss your ideas, preferences and how you want to use your outdoor space. This on-site meeting allows us to get a feel for your garden's character and how you want to utilise the space.
2. Site Survey: During our visit, we'll carry out a basic site survey to understand the existing conditions of your garden. This includes assessing the layout, soil type and other key features. In some circumstances, where a basic site survey is not sufficient (e.g., large plots, complicated levels or extreme slopes), a detailed professional site survey may be required. If this is the case, we will obtain a quote from a third party surveyor and, with your agreement, arrange for the survey to be carried out.
3. Design Quote: Following our site visit, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive quote for the design work to transform your garden into a beautiful outdoor space.
4. Concept Design: Our designer will create a comprehensive Concept Design, tailored to your needs and budget. This includes:
Design Plan: A 2-dimensional scaled plan of your garden illustrating the proposal for the outdoor space.
Plant List: A carefully chosen selection of plants that suit your garden's specific conditions and complement your desired aesthetic.
Plant Mood Board: A visual representation of the proposed planting scheme, showcasing the colours, textures and forms of the selected plants throughout the year.
Seasonal Chart: A guide to what your garden will look like throughout the year, ensuring year-round interest.
5. Design Refinement: The initial design fee includes provisions for some adjustments and alterations to the concept plan, ensuring the final design truly reflects your vision.
6. Hard and Soft Landscaping Estimate (optional): As an option, once we have agreed on the overall plan, we can provide a comprehensive estimate for the complete execution of the landscaping work, this includes all hard and soft landscaping work, giving you a clear understanding of the project’s overall costs.
Design Only Option
If you wish to manage the garden construction yourself, we offer a 'Design Only' service. This option provides you with all the elements of our Concept Design, including the plant list, mood board, and seasonal chart, but excludes the hard and soft landscaping estimate.
Additional Visualisation Work
In some cases, additional design work may be required to fully convey the design or the construction process. This may include 3D drawings, construction detailing, setting out plans, or detailed planting plans. The scope and price for any additional work will be agreed with you before any such work is undertaken.

Building Your Dream Garden
If you choose to proceed with the full landscaping works, and the project cost is £5,000 or more, we will credit your design fee to your account, deducting it from the final invoice. This allows you to create the garden you've always wanted, with the confidence that your design costs are incorporated into the overall project value.
