It's the Butterfly Conservation's BIG Butterfly Count 2024. Help check nature's pulse by heading to Longstock Park Nursery on the Leckford estate in Hampshire and join in with this year's count.
Our herbaceous border and surrounding area is the perfect place to do your count, it's a spectacular 80m border set in a walled garden alongside Longstock Park Nursery. You can collect a chart from the nursery shop or farm shop or you can download the Butterfly Conservation's app and get counting from Friday 12th July.
After completing your count, you can visit either our café in the park, Cherry Tree café, for light refreshments, or our farm shop café for delicious seasonal dishes. Relax on the terrace and take in the stunning scenery of Longstock Park.
Why not extend your day with us and visit Longstock Park Water Garden? Just a few minutes' drive away, this once private garden was the place the founder of the John Lewis Partnership helped to create as a space for relaxation and contemplation. The garden has a spectacular display of water lillies, not to be missed at this time of year.
