The Brief & Vision

Faced with the typical challenges of a new-build plot - including a gentle slope and lack of established features - we created a design that would add character, structure and distinct outdoor spaces. The goal was to transform a transitional space into a permanent, high-value asset to their home.

Our Design Approach

Our team designed a solution to seamlessly manage the garden’s gradient. By introducing two separate porcelain terraces, we created distinct locations for morning coffee and evening dining. To bridge these levels, we designed a "stone stacker" path, adding a textured element that serves as a visual focal point against the softness of the lawn.

The Installation

Structural integrity was paramount for this project. We constructed a large raised sleeper bed along the left boundary to provide height and depth for planting, while also acting as a natural retaining feature for the slope. The stacker path was laid with precision, ensuring a finish that is as durable as it is beautiful.

The Finished Result

The transformation from a sloped, empty plot to a structured, multi-level garden is striking. The combination of warm timber sleepers, cool porcelain and textured stone creates a rich material palette that feels both modern and timeless, providing the homeowners with a fully realised outdoor sanctuary.
