The Waitrose Farm

Leckford Estate was purchased in 1929 by John Spedan Lewis, founder of the John Lewis Partnership. We have been farming the 2,800-acre estate for over 90 years and are proud to be the Waitrose & Partners Farm. We are the only UK retailer owned farm producing fresh local produce, supplying our delicious harvests to Waitrose & Partners store across the UK.

Leckford Estate is a diverse commercial business, spanning property, food production and farming, retail and leisure activities.

Since 2004, we have dedicated ourselves to passionate British farming and caring for the environment, making us a LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) demonstration farm.

We are a team of over 160 partners and practise The Waitrose Way of healthy living, fair treatment, environmental kindness and championing British produce.

We are a working farm and we welcome visitors to our retail shops. Visitors can also enjoy chalk stream and lake fly fishing, golf and our unique water gardens via prior booking arrangements.
