Beat 15 is accessed by parking in the Leckford Abbas entrance and crossing the A3057 onto the disused railway line. Walk up the Testway for 60m (towards Leckford) and turn left through the kissing gate.
The Beat is upstream from the hut on the RH bank, there is also a stretch of Carrier. Where the Carrier joins the Main is often a favourite spot to find Salmon spawning in January and a good Trout lie. The deeper water behind the Island holds some large fish that are not easily fooled in the slower flow.
