Society Guidelines

To ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day, organisers of visiting societies are responsible for ensuring that their members are fully conversant with the information that is appropriate to their visit.

Etiquette and slow play

  • A well raked bunker is punishment enough, an unraked bunker can make your  shot impossible, so please ensure you do not leave a bunker without raking it.
  • Please replace all divots and repair all pitchmarks in order to maintain the quality of the course.
  • Not all golfers are the same standard or play at the same speed, so we do ask that you remain vigilant at all times and be considerate to players behind you. PLEASE DO CALL THEM THROUGH if you feel you are holding them up.
  • All four balls should aim to complete 18 holes in under 4 hours.

Tees

When playing a society match at Leckford, Gentlemen are expected to play off the yellow tees and Ladies off the red tees. If Gentlemen are hoping to use the white tees then please get in touch prior to arrival.

Trolleys and buggies

Trolleys and buggies are available to hire on a first come first served basis, so please get in touch to make any bookings and avoid disappointment on the day.

Security

Leckford is not liable for the property of any visitors, please ensure that property is not left unattended or on display in cars. Please look after your belongings at all times.

Markers

Both nearest the pin and longest drive markers are available for societies, please advise the greens staff prior to arrival and they will be in position for you on the day.

Dress Code

Members, their guests and visitors are required to conform to the dress code.
