There is spectacular scenery in every direction from the New Course, as it sits high up taking in views across the valley down to the River Test. Designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1989, the New Course is located close to the centre of the village of Leckford.
For the less experienced golfer and with three par 3s and six par 4s, it’s ideal for sharpening the short game. Good driving will leave short iron approaches to smaller greens and there are subtle undulations to test the putter.
Changes over time have seen the addition of 18 bunkers and an ornamental pond has made it a sporting challenge, and the perfect complement to the Old Course.
Playing this course is great for those wanting a less strenuous day, and for those wishing to play more than 18 holes, this course will make the day complete.
Just like its older sibling, our greenkeepers keep it in fine order and the terrain makes it playable whatever the weather.
