About this hole
The finishing hole, and one worthy of the status, is a short hole from an elevated tee to a green virtually surrounded by five large bunkers, and only a very narrow entrance. With the clubhouse and the thatched cottage as a backdrop, the tee shot is all important, often playing much longer than the yardage would suggest. With such a large green even being on the putting surface does not ensure that a three will appear on the scorecard.
